Dependencies and practical limits

Control addressable RGB LEDs with the AVR timing implementation.

Timing and board clock matter; select the actual AVR profile before compiling.

LED strips need rated power/current handling and common ground. A compile result is not an electrical certification.

No additional catalog dependencies are required.

For a missing header, first compare the include to the example below. For an undeclared identifier, inspect the first diagnostic and selected board rather than changing every library version.

Board compile matrix

These are recorded compile/link results for the current build and exact source hash. UNTESTED means no matching proof, not an assumed pass. Memory values belong to the listed example and exclude runtime stack/heap or dynamic buffers.

NeoPixel example

This is the actual pinned example available in Circuitera. Pin choices and wiring in a general example use Uno unless otherwise stated; review the selected board reference for other targets.

#include <Adafruit_NeoPixel.h>
Adafruit_NeoPixel pixels(8, 6, NEO_GRB + NEO_KHZ800);
void setup() { pixels.begin(); pixels.setBrightness(20); }
void loop() {
  for (uint16_t i = 0; i < pixels.numPixels(); i++) {
    pixels.clear(); pixels.setPixelColor(i, pixels.Color(0, 80, 180));
    pixels.show(); delay(120);
  }
}
