What a Circuitera test result means

Understand Circuitera’s real compiler, simulation, protocol and hardware test boundaries, pinned libraries, source data, and evidence dates.

Evidence has a defined boundary

Circuitera records compilation with the actual shipped AVR-GCC WebAssembly toolchain, assembler, linker and objcopy. Protocol unit tests exercise serial behavior separately. An Uno simulation executes the compiled AVR firmware in the model; it does not certify a real circuit’s power, current, timing limits or every peripheral.

Physical USB upload is not certified by these compile reports. Board profiles labeled Experimental keep that limitation. A successful compile must not be presented as a successful hardware upload.

Only matching proof is shown as tested

Library results are joined by toolchain build ID and library source hash. Project proof additionally matches the sketch and its exact circuit. A changed source or missing report is labeled UNTESTED instead of inheriting an old pass. Dates shown on reference pages are the actual report timestamps, not today’s page-build date.

Current toolchain: avr-gcc-wasm@0.2.0. Build: e0f6d304cce4ae0a0989a9b1300cbc1a21a595e5e3e7f57ed0ab3468ecf7940b. Existing screenshots are genuine Circuitera browser captures; the board signal diagrams are generated from the same pin maps as the IDE and are explicitly not physical board layouts.

Source and review process

Board profiles follow the pinned Arduino AVR Boards 1.8.6 sources and official board pinouts. Libraries are pinned to their included upstream source/version. Every project keeps complete code, component and wiring data, a working launch path, expected output and troubleshooting. Only Uno is claimed as the validated tutorial/simulation target.

Guides quote Circuitera’s actual diagnostics or explicitly identified parser fixtures. Editorial review dates do not imply physical tests. There are no invented user counts, reviews or awards.

Keep exploring.
