What you see
A compiler diagnostic contains “No such file or directory”; the parser test fixture includes “absent.h: No such file or directory”. This is an illustrative fixture, not a claimed user capture.
Likely causes
- The #include spelling or letter case does not match an available header.
- The needed library is not in the pinned collection, or the selected board cannot use it.
- A secondary header or dependency is missing from the selected project/library graph.
Diagnostic steps
Read the first missing header
Use Problems or Build Output to identify the exact header and source line. Later errors can be consequences of this first failure.
Check the pinned catalog
Search Libraries by name or header. Compare the include to a bundled example and the selected board’s recorded compile result. An arbitrary desktop library is not automatically installed in Circuitera.
Test the smallest example
Open the listed library example as a separate sketch and Verify for your exact board. If it builds, compare your includes and project file paths instead of changing the toolchain.
Respect unavailable support
A missing catalog entry or untested board is not proof of compatibility. Use supported components/libraries for the tutorial, or record a reproducible support request without claiming the feature exists.
Board-specific notes
Native USB HID/Keyboard/Mouse are not supported on Uno/Nano/Mega/Pro Mini. A Servo timer or memory issue is different from a missing header.
Safe recovery
Keep the original project and test in a new sketch. Restore the last working include set before adding dependencies one at a time.
